Booting up problem -T60

I've owned a T60 for about 13 months.

Now, it goes through the booting up process and freezes halfway loading the startup programs.

I've had the same problem every 2-3 weeks for the last few months. I had to do full recovery by pressing the blue THINKVANTAGe button. I am getting tired of doing this thing again.

Have you experienced something like that?
Do you have any suggestion as to what is causing this problem?
By the way, I have the factory installed Windows Xp.

My T60 never did that.

The only logical explanation would be in your programs.
Do You have any third-party software installed?

I am not sure what you mean by third-party software?
The computer is useless without software other than what Lenovo installed.

My question is: why this thing happens after so many instances of booting up. My desktop with almost identical software does not behave like that.

I think this problem is something specific to Thinkpads and it is probably due to some recent Lenovo upgrades.

third party software is from other manufacturers. So other than Lenovo (and say bigger companies) what are you running on there? Software comes with lots of settings that conflict with others so maybe a generic list would be helpful.

Also, check the event viewer (google how to get there) and see why the system crashes. It will tell you if something failed to load or failed another way.
