A touchpad movement disappears my message text in Outlook --

#1 Post by snsok » Tue Jan 15, 2008 12:51 pm

IBM ThinkPad T60, WinXP, 3 GB RAM, on a business network. Outlook XP and rest of Office XP Suite installed.

Sometimes as I am writing the body of a message in Outlook and am moving the cursor with the touchpad, a certain swipe disappears the entire message. Sometimes I can get it back with a Ctrl-Z or repaste it back in with a Ctrl-V.

It seems as though my touchpad is sending "cut all to clipboard" or something like that. I just can't figure out what this is I am doing or what setting I have wrong on my ThinkVantage settings.

help.

Stan

It might be an idea to adjust the sensitivity of tapping, (also maybe dragging), in the mouse properties. Or, if you don't normallyuse the touchpad; turn it off.

Any touch pad I have used on any make of machine does things automatically I do NOT want done. I turn off touch pads at every opportunity. ... JDH
