#1 Post by sco1984 » Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:14 am

Hi,
Trying to tweak/Configure my newly arrived T60 1953-DAU laptop.
Its XP Pro preloaded.
When laptop boots in to XP it shows a screen about ThinkVantage Security configuration.
When I enter my Windows Administrator password it never accepts.

Your password was assigned by the owner for security purposes and is not located somewhere for you to "find" it.

This is the whole purpose of having security is that it can not be defeated!

Uninstall Client Security Solution if you're not going to use it.

In order to reset the password, try to clear the Embedded Security chip in the BIOS, you can find information to do that in the following post by milkster:

Security Chip Passphrase.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
