Anyways I want to change the XGA screen, what are my options?
Is the only upgrade option the 14.1 SXGA? If so what else is needed to get everything to work? I believe I would need an SXGA LCD interver and the LCD ofcourse, but what else?
Thanks
Thanks for the info. Im searching ebay for cables...SHoTTa35 wrote:XGA cables only use 1 channel (or whatever the technical term is) the SXGA+ and UXGA ones require 2 because of the amount of data they have to send to the screen.
The inverter is part of the LCD assembly so you don't ever have to touch that... (as far as i remember, someone correct me if i'm wrong)
Oh and by the way, that girlfriend of yours.. she doesn't deserve you... send her to me instead. LOL Actually my girl did the samething too. She has a Dell Inspiron 6000. It's a decent system but it's huge too... falling apart now and of-course has no warranty left to fix it. She wont get a Thinkpad now tho cuz whenever she see's IBM or Lenovo or anyone with a Thinkpad she thinks of me... and that's a lot! LOL.
