Standby-F4 intermiitently works and FN-F7 question T61

Hi,
Sometimes when I place the PC in standby it never comes back. It appears to be related to docking/undocking. I always undock and the place the PC in standby- never in standby on th dock and then undock. I see the hard drive spinning trying and 1/2 the time i can place it back in standby and rarely doe sit come back after that. 1 time i left it, did some things and it did come back- any other time i left it- it never came back.

I also used to have alot of issues on dock- undock until I picked up the latest BIOS 2.07-1.08. Now that works like a champ except for the standby- i hate using hibernate.

Second question is how do I make FN-F7 automatically keep 1900x1200 resolution on the PC when I project. I always have to manualy do this.
