Clicking noise from soundcard when on battery

My soundcard works perfectly when on AC, but when I am on battery it makes that clicking noise once every time a sound is played. So I hear it each time a new mp3 is played, for every single windows sound, MSN notification etc etc... It's kinda annoying and I have to turn the sound off.

Do you guys have that problem? I have a T61p 15"4

Hi,

just as a suggestion, it may be caused by the transition of powerstates.

If your powersettings are a on balanced mode, then it´ll be the cause.
Set it to max performance could help.
