I exclusively use the Thinkpoint. Is it possible to disable the trackpad and associated buttons? I find it sometimes does a right click (prob due to my hand resting near the right of the trackpad).

I'm using Ubuntu.

Cheers

The Trackpad can be disabled in BIOS. Here's a way to toggle it off and on

You can also do it via the ThinkVantage tools if you have them installed. I think you can assign it other functions, too. I dislike the pad myself. lol...I also don't use the middle button for scrolling, so I re-assigned it to act as a magnifying glass. Great for reading bank's fine print. lol....

I think you can simply go to the Control Panel and select the Mouse. Then in the Mouse Properties window select the UltraNav tab. The top section is for the Trackpoint, the bottom for the Touchpad. Un-tick the Enable Touchpad box. That should do it.

He's using Ubuntu. You can do this via BIOS or through Xorg.conf or using the synaptics daemon. I believe there are howtos for the latter 2, the synaptics daemon meaning you do not have to restart X for changes to take effect.
