I'm sure you'll get very good advice from other members but the question here is they would not know what you're going to be using your machine for. There might be some very good utilities helpful to your usage in that list that you'll uninstall not knowing what they could do.

A knowledgeable person once told me about these utilities that "Use them all for a while, learn what they can do and make a decision on which one to remove based on your requirements, afterwards".

By the way after a clean install you won't be able to install all those softwares and utilities especially third party ones. In order to get them back on a clean install what you can do is to backup your SWTOOLS folder beforehand prior to deleting your service partition.

Two questions come to mind here.

Is your machine not running properly? Is this why you want to do a clean install?

If the machine is running slow, have you considered simply adjusting some things in Vista to speed it up rather than spend all the time doing a clean install?

Just did clean install to remove the majority of the trialware (Norton, etc.). I will be using other applications.

Also, I've noticed that my computer no longer has the incompatibility errors it had before the clean install. Don't know if the pre-loaded package of Lenovo is causing incompatibilities.

And yes, ryengineer, you're right. What is useful to a person may not be to another...
