Hi All,

Does anyone know how to activate readydrive.
I tried anything, all drivers from Intel including the latest, no way only readyboost is activated not readydrive.

Configuration :

T61P as signature with Mtron SSD Vista 64
AHCI on.
Chipset software 965M
Matrix Manager version and Turbo Memory Driver installed.
NVCache appears

Only Readyboost on
ReadyDrive disabled

If anyone can help !

Please consider the following:
Conditions that Causes Turbo Memory Not to Work:

-The system has RAID enabled or the SATA Operation option is set to something other than AHCI.
-The Intel Flash Cache option in the BIOS is disabled.
-The system is running Windows XP or some operating system other than Windows Vista.
-The Intel Turbo Memory driver or the IMSM driver (Intel® Matrix Storage Manager) is not installed.
-Some companies may reimage systems as soon as they receive them. The image installed may not have the IMSM driver installed. Install the Intel Turbo Memory driver to correct this situation.
-The Intel Turbo Memory Console has not been configured for ReadyBoost or ReadyDrive.
-The system has a hybrid hard drive (Intel Turbo Memory automatically disables the ReadyDrive feature).
I'm no expert but if HHD (Hybrid Hard drive) is not fully functional for Turbo Memory then it would make some sense about why ReadyDrive feature is disabled under your SSD since both Turbo Memory SSD are composed of NAND flash memories.

I suggest you search whether both these device go hand in hand or not.

Hi ryengineer,

Thanks for your answer. I am still puzzled I have to admit, since I disabled save power in power options and modified the group policy object in vista and disabled hybrid disc.

I saw many messages in forums that complain of readydrive feature not working only readyboost with Turbo Memory.

I will continue to strive on that, if anyone has a fix for that, don't hesitate to share

figured I'd bump this to see if there's an update to this. My T61P arrived yesterday, didn't use the factory install, so not sure what could have happened there. But, I formatted the system 4 times, rebuilding the Vista Image, before actually reading on here that there may be problems with it showing up.

Vista Business x64 SP1

Using both Lenovo's driver, and intel's driver

System shows ReadyBoost on, but not ReadyDrive.

In hindsight, I probably should have skipped TurboMemory and just put it towards a 16gb Class 6 flash drive if I really would have cared about those, but with 4gb, I don't, and I needed my SD card available for other things. Plus, it was just something like $30, which in the grand scheme of things wouldn't have afforded me any other upgrades to this system...so not too much of a loss if I can't get it working, but I'd like to get what I paid for, even if it helps me out about as much as that wireless USB.

I don't see the point of using SSD with Turbo Memory. TM is supposed to be a cost-effective solution to substitute SSD for en-masse.
If you still insist on ReadyDrive, check your BIOS, you might enable Compatibility Mode instead of AHCI, which disable ReadyDrive.

AHCI is checked. It came that way by default.
