Won't recover after short sleep

I have a brand new t61p installed with Windows Vista Home Basic. If I close the lid (which i have triggering system suspension) and then open the lid before the sleep light comes on, the computer is frozen and will neither go into suspension or wake. An obvious workaround is just to wait until the computer finishes going into suspension, but if someone has had this problem and there is a more complete fix it would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, PStanger,
My T61p does the same thing. I just think of it as a trait of the machine. I just close the lid and leave it, and it's okay in the morning.

I do not myself own a T61, but I think it might just be Vista problem, or trait.

Upgrade to latest BIOS, and Vista Sp1. If you have turbomemory, upgrade to 1013 drivers. Problem solved.

How does one determine if turbomemory is installed and active?
