LCD Question

Hi,
I bought a T60 last year and there was a huge difference in quality between the Samsung and LG LCD Screens, so much so that people were checking serial numbers upon shipping and canceling the order if they got the undesirable screen.
Has this problem been resolved or is there still a need to angle for a particular screen manufacturer?
Thanks,
Mike

As of now, there seems to be some minor differences between the Samsung and LG WSXGA+ panels. Both require a tad bit of calibration to get the most out of them, but they're nearly the same. Notebookreview.com forums has a topic (with pictures) that show the differences between the two versions.

Which T60 did you have? 14.1 or 15 inch, which resolution. You may have discovered the beauty that is Flexview...

We just ordered a new T61 WSXGA+.
I know from experience that the samsung LCDs that were shipping in mid 2007 were horrific compared to the LGs.
Hopefully TheCynical1's post means that Samsung got better and not LG got worse.
If there is still a preference, is it LG or Samsung?

I had Samsung in my t61p and got it replaced with LG. Although my opinion may be very subjective here is what I found:
* Colors are not accurate on both. I don't see an improvement here. Seems like its biased towards blue. If anyone can post calibration settings for Nvidia control panel it would be great.
* LG seems to win on brightness, but not by much. Maybe its my perception?
* LG has less light bleeding.
* LG has better angle view.
