Is there a PCI adapter product?

Is there a product that enables one to add a standard PCI card outboard from the T60, possibly thru the USB or PCMCIA or mini-PCI port? Occasionally some external function is only available on a PCI card which has no USB equivalent.

That could be problematic, since running a PCI card without a full metal enclosure would turn it into a violation of FCC rules about emissions.
Never heard of one myself. Not to mention, with all the new busses and devices...PCI is just one more obsolete i/o bus, isn't it?

Check out Thinkpad Advanced Dock (and the old Dock).

The advanced dock takes a mini-PCI card but not a fullsize PCI.
Anyway, I changed my plans. I was figuring I might need a PCI fitting to accomodate an HDTV tuner for a MythTV (linux) system, but now I see that I can use a "Homerun" tuner which connects thru an ordinary RJ45 ethernet LAN connection.

Yeah HD-HomeRun is the way to go for DVR. Products do exist, they're mainly used for professional video editing, and massively expensive, like $1400!
