New video driver?

Am I hallucinating?

I ran System Update recently and it told me that there was a new video driver for my T60p, so I installed it. The next time I took the machine off standby, I got a blue screen, so I reinstalled the previous version.

Then I looked at the device driver file matrix and found that the most recent version was from September 2007, which was the one I had just reinstalled. And running System Update again did not mention a new driver.

Did Lenovo release a new driver and then recall it? Am I missing something obvious?

Havin wanted to watch a .flv video and various others last week, I noticed a constant flickering of the view when enlarging WMP11 to full view.
At first I thought it was due to them converters---hous later I gave them "uptodate"-drivers  a skip and went on to using the modded ones from:

Now, I am all cinema again!

The driver matrix tends to have old drivers. Check the "Downloads and drivers" section to get the latest drivers.

Thanks for the pointer. That's a bit surprising, actually; one would think that the matrix would be updated automatically.

:thumbs-UP: nVIDIA ForceWare X 169.28 for Windows except I'm using the Vista x64 bit version. Better than the Lenovo driver and so far no problems experienced after several weeks.
