Hi, My T60 has used for 14 months.

Owing to some upgrading problem, I follow the guide to restore factory settings and press Thinkvantage when starting the NB. I remember there is F11 appear in the past. However, I could not find option F11 RNR last night.

I get into myt XP Pro and check that HPA is still here and it's about 4.XGb. I repeat several times and this problem still cannot be solved.

Anyone faced same problem? How to let it appears again?

:( :( :(

Try the following two possible solutions:

1. Either (re)install latest version of Rescue and Recovery:

Rescue and Recovery™ 4.2 for Windows XP and 2000.

OR

2. Repair the boot sector:

Rescue and Recovery - Recovery repair diskette.

You would require a floppy disk drive for this.

waikking,

yes, somewhere along the line, you changed the boot sector. Did you add another software program like Acronis or Ghost? Or did you add a dual boot with another o/s?

One thing you might do is to take a hard drive image of your present C drive. Then, use the prior posters recommendations or... go thru the RnR with your CD/DVD disks which will put the F11 capability back into place. Then, re image your hard drive.

Viola.

Perhaps the OP has just lost the prompt message, not the actual function?

After a BIOS upgrade a while back, the prompt message listing the actions for PF1, PF11, and PF12 went away, but the actions still work fine. I have toggled the BIOS option that is supposed to control this but there is no effect.

Any ideas?
