T61p: Which caddy for PATA HDD?

Hello:

Which caddy should I use for a PATA HDD? A search shows two available: 62P4554, 41U3148.
If both are compatible, then which one has a bezel matching that of T61p (15.4" widescreen)?

there aren't any T6x ultrabay adapters for IDE drives. You can use the T4x series in the T6x but of-course the bezel wont match.

Wonder what difference there might be between those two parts, if any. Products have almost same name, except for word "Notebook" or "ThinkPad."

Searching and clicking through on IBM site for 62P4554 gets this page: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-46455
which has an announce date of 2003.

Clicking through on 41U3148 get this page: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-64699
which shows announce date of 2006.

You can still buy the 41U3148 from the Lenovo website, but I don't see the other model there.

I have the 41U3148, and it works in my T60. It's a little tapered on the bottom, inside the case, but fits and looks ok.

I have this and it works with my T60p:

FRU 62P4553
ASM 62P4552

It was for the T4x series so has a slight chamfer along the bottom edge. Looks fine tho.
