thinkpad T60 extended warranty

#1 Post by ipodtrip » Sat Feb 02, 2008 6:02 pm

I have a Thinkpad T60 and the 1 yr warranty has expired. Can anyone tell me where I can buy a 2 yr extended and how much does it cost?

I think you have to purchase the extended warranty before the original one expires....? could be wrong.

Call 1-866-968-4465 M-F between 9-7pm, a representative will be happy to help you.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

As far as I know you can add warranty after the warranty expires. It does cost more though. I would give Lenovo a call.

Thanks

I'm looking to purchase a "post-warranty service pack"--as I think they're called-- for my T60p, the warranty for which just recently expired.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend an authorized reseller to buy such an extended warranty, to perhaps save a bit from the full retail direct from Lenovo. I realize that there's a process of registering/accepting the warranty extension if it's been purchased from a reseller, so if anyone has had any experience with doing so, I'd appreciate the feedback...

Thanks.
