After a long hiatus... I'm back... with another thinkpad!!

You may or may not remember me, guys. I joined near the end of December, posted like 11 times, and then vanished. I vanished for the sole reason that I sold my T41 and bought a Mac mini.

That machine I kept for ten days or so, and then I traded it for a Powerbook G4 867MHz.

After THAT.......

I traded it for what I'm typing on now! T60, model 2008. Core Duo at 2GHz, with 1GB RAM, a 100GB HD, the X1400 128MB graphics card, and the 15" 1400x1050 FlexView screen.

So, I guess, the point of this post was to solicit welcomes back to the forum.

you traded an old powerbook G4 for a new-ish ThinkPad T60? sounds ridiculous, that is a huge trade up.
did the other guy know he was getting the short end of the stick?

Sorta. They sell for $550-$600 on the CL here. So, the trade, value-wise, wasn't all that bad. I included some rare 680x0 Macs too.

Welcome back and to the T6x club - How are you finding your T60-2008 with regards to the two Mac's you had? - hope you gonna stick around for a little while.

Well, all of my nerdy friends hate me because I like Macs a ton, but am open to using thinkpads.

But, I do love it. It's actually on YouTube cause I made a review thingy on it last night. Go to youtube.com/user/68Kollector if you want to see it.

Speaking solely on the experience of the whole thing, it's definitely weird. All the cool Mac apps aren't available for the PC.

those aren't the only macs I've had either. I've probalu owned 30-35 in the 8 months since I began using macs.

Well, I'd say that Windoze is the dark side. It's the ThinkPad hardware itself that I like.

Unfortunately, I've never really liked Linux.
