Is there something like Thinkpads.com for Verizon Wireless ?
Is there something like Thinkpads.com for Verizon Wireless ?
Is there something like this forum for users of Verizon Wireless cell phones? I have some Bluetooth connectivity issues with Thinkpads that I am sure are on the cell phone side, as the issues vary with models of the cell phones. Thank you for considering my question.
www.howardforums.com has some good cell phone info.

Steve, dunno about the forums but not all Bluetooth stacks (firmware) are created equal. If you have a Treo650--it can't see the Thinkpad even though the Thinkpad can see the phone.
Bluetooth is like that, the early implementations especially are very limited in what and how they will connect. Even if all you are trying to do is use an earbud.

Well, my issues are kind of the opposite -- old phones work fine but new phones do not. For example, using two-year old Motorola RAZR V3c phones with a Bluetooth connection to the laptop (T or X series, old and new) for Verizon 1xEV-DO broadband data access works fine. Does not work with new Motorola KRZR K1m and it should. (Laptop cannot find the Bluetooth modem using the VZAccess software.) I can escalate it in Verizon but thought it would help to do some investigating on my own.
