I've been having a frustrating issue that just started the last few weeks with some of our T60's. They were running fine for months, and hadn't had any updates other than Microsoft's windows patches.

What happens is: randomly when users reboot, sometimes the network doesnt work for them. These are docked laptops in a corporate environment. When I go to their desk to see what the issue is, I keep seeing the same thing: There's an exclamation point next to the Intel LAN adapter and also the Wifi adapter, and their network is not connected.

The only temporary solution I've found is to uninstall the device in the System control panel and redetect it, which immediately restores connectivity without rebooting. However, it seems as though it goes right back to the same stuff after they reboot, not always the first reboot, but at some point it does it again.

I've already tried the newest LAN and Wifi driver available, updated the BIOS, etc.

Anyone ever experienced this?

Deinstall IBM Access Connections and get latest driver from intel.com may solve this problem (works on my T60).

I've already done both of those things.

i found a solution to this i believe - in most cases i solved it by updating the LAN driver to the latest one provided.
