T61 sudden lost of mouse/trackpoint/ultranav?

Has anyone experienced the issue of losing their ultranav (both track point and the touch pad) on their T61 suddenly?
I'm running 32bit Vista business. It's happened to me more than once. I was on goggle's gchat when it happened. The keyboard seemed to still work. I had no choice but to reboot to get the ultranav to work again.
