T60 Bluetooth?

#1 Post by AuroraGuy » Sun Feb 17, 2008 9:59 am

Is there any way I can tell if my laptop HAS bluetooth or not (built in?)

The BIOS has a ENABLE/HIDDEN value but when I enable it I dont see anything in device manager telling me something is there that needs a driver...

My laptop is a T60 1953-D6U.

Thanks guys-

press FN + F5 to turn on/off the hardware.

Bluetooth is in but the system has it off to save power. It wont show up in device manager till it's powered.

Is there a Bluetooth icon indicator on the clearplate at the bottom right edge of the LCD?

I have a T60. When I input my serial #/model # into the Lenovo webiste, it indicates that the system was equipped with "Bluetooth/Modem".

However, there is no Bluetooth icon that lights up on the clear place underneath the screen (like there is on my work X60) and when I do Fn+F5....it can't see the Bluetooh. It seems like it's not on the machine.

Am I doing something wrong, or did Lenovo forget to install the Bluetooth?

Thanks,
James
