Model cycle question

How often does Lenovo make new models? For example, when can we expect T62 to arrive and what can be expect to be upgraded compared to the T61?
(I'm trying to time a new laptop purchase)

Probably when Intel releases the new Montevina platform later this year. There a short article here if you want to read up.

If you need a laptop then you should probably buy one. One generation to the next usually isn't a huge performance leap for mundane tasks like Internet and Office, unless of course you have a specific need.

I want a new laptop but I don't need one as my R52 is adequate but getting somewhat slow for my needs; hence the flexibility in the purchase decision.
