15.4" T61p with a Penryn - 1600x1050 display available?

Hi all,
I want to ask whether T61p with the latest Penryn CPUs from Intel are available with a 1600x1050 display. If yes, where (how?) in Germany and if not, how can you people read any text on this 1920x1200 display? It seems soooo small! Great absolute resolution but for 15.4"... ?

Here's a nice German online shop that has what you want:
Notebook.de. Have in mind that it's much more expensive to buy in Europe than it is in USA.
----
I have a WUXGA display (1920x1200). At the beginning it felt really awkward, and I even considered selling the laptop.
But after one week of (painful) use, I got used to it and now don't want anything else. And my sight isn't anything special...

what you are looking for doesn't unfortunately exist. I presume you are looking for a T61p with 256MB VRAM and 1680x1050. All 15,4 T61p TPs have the 1920x1200 resolution. The most powerfull at the moment being the
NH0BQGE 6457-BQG or
NH0BPGE 6457-BPG
Alternative; T61p with 14" 4:3 128MB VRAM 1400x1050 the
UI0ALGE 8889-ALG
All have the T9500 2,60 GHz CPU and you should be able to pick one of them up for around €2.400 to €2.500

andyP is right. I was talking about the T61 (not the T61p).

Thank you very much for the info. Actually, I was looking at the 14" model too
Last questions - I want my chair at the university to buy the laptop for me. Is there any German shop that sells these particular models (there are many shops that sell T61p's, but not the T9500 ones)?
Thanks again!

per the
forum rules we don't allow the public discussion of discount programs/pricing. you could, however, request that any info be sent to you via PM or email.

Where were these comments in your first post?
As you probably know, very well, there are programs for students in germany. Universities do not qualify as they are institutes and not students. There is another program for Universities.
Go do your homework somewhere else.

No, I don't know this very well - in fact, I'm not familiar at all with it.
I've arranged with the chair that they will buy a laptop for me. And I've agreed with the administrator that I'll pick the laptop and give him the needed info, so that he can order it. And he said, we can buy it with a "Lehre und Forschung" discount.
And what I simply want is just to get a good laptop at a good price. Lenovo are more expensive than Dell, also much better IMHO, but this alone cannot justify my preference for a 700 EUR more expensive laptop. And that is why I want to find a Lenovo dealer who can offer a laptop I like with a nice university/student discount.

Then if they know they can buy it with "Lehre und Forschung", they also know where. 'nuf said.

No, they don't and that's why I'm asking. It's in my best interest to get a better laptop. I admit I didn't know this rule before posting and I am sorry about that.
But, andyP, please ignore this topic further on.

Have you considered buying a laptop from USA (eBay for instance)?
There, Thinkpads are so much cheaper that it will be better than any student/university discount.

I'm afraid no one here can help you with this as it is against forum policy to discuss student discounts of any kind. Your chair should know the rules and procedures under which something can be purchased using those discounts, and if s/he doesn't, that information will have to come from Lenovo.
