Hello everyone, I am having an issue with a users laptop within my company. He is running a T60 laptop, however, whenever the machine is NOT connected to A/C power, the machine locks up within seconds of the OS being loaded (XP Pro), and he needs a full reboot. If he's plugged into an outlet, there is no issue and the machine runs flawlessly.
I'm really at a loss on what to do for the user. We had this problem when originally creating our sysprepped image, however, installing some patches on the T60 seemed to fix the issue...
WindowsXP-KB896256-v4-x86-ENU.exe
WindowsXP-KB936357-v2-x86-ENU.exe
And the ultranav & ethernet drivers from the lenovo webpage.
However, this issue is still happening for him. I'm thinking that maybe, somehow, the patches didn't get installed on his machine?
Does anyone know of similar issues? Has anyone ever delt with this?
