Does anyone have any idea why all of the data files on my cd's are showing up as MS Internet Explorer Icons. Some of which I can't open.

I have been having all kinds of wierd problems with recording CD's on this T60. Some CD will not open on other machines. And now this.

Appreciate your help.

Which program did you use to make the CD's?

The Sonic program. I should take that off because I can't get disks to work on other machines if using it

In fact, I can't use the cd or dvd to record on this piece of crap. Its a mess.

if sonic somehow burnt files incorrectly or dropped all the file extensions then it would have everything to do with it.

I second that. I had the same thing happen to me before with some outdated burning software. Upgrade your software and you'll be fine. Or just use a free one such as imgburn available here:

Hope you get your problems are solved and you do not lose anything important. By the way, have you considered just keeping files on a USB drive? It's tons faster than the old "burn" method.
