T61 + Canadian Warranty (Rep says: We don't sell it)

So I called Lenovo Canada to ask about the Warranty, and the rep informed me about the problems they'd been having. He said that they were supposed to get warranty information/pricing this month, but that nothing has come in (despite the fact that it is still an option on the Canadian site). He informed me that if I were to purchase extra warranty in the same order, it might be later canceled (or the warranty portion refunded) and that I would have to buy it at "some later time".
Anyone else know what's going on or had experiences with this?

Whoa... first I hear of that. Wonder what that's all about.
Perhaps you spoke with some newbie at the call center who wasn't quite sure of his/her surroundings yet?

I ordered the following:
41C9768 | 3 Year EasyServ + 3 Year ThinkPad Protection for 1 Year EasyServ ThinkPad | $389.00
with my T61 on 21/12/2007. Of course, it still has not been activated, so they've got my money and I've got no extended warranty . . . But I was assured by e-mail yesterday that this should be added to their system in 2-3 business days. I'll report back on the good news!

I also purchased a T61 with the 3 Year warranty but like Paul this has not been activated as yet. Guess I'll have to make another call to find out what is happening......

Same problem here with the 3 Year EasyServ + 3 Year ThinkPad Protection against accidental damage.
Although advertised on the Web at $179.00, Lenovo sells it for $389.00.
But the rep didn't succeed in adding it on the order. Yet.
