Has anyone successfully played a blu-ray movie on T61? What is the configuration of your T61?

In order to play Blu-Ray movies on an external LCD, the DVI connectors on both the laptop and the monitor need to support HDCP. To get the DVI port, the only option is be get an Advanced Dock or an Advanced Mini Dock.
Does anyone know whether Advanced Mini Dock support HDCP? If it does, is the integrated X3100 video card in T61 good enough?
If it doesn't, the other options is to get an Advanced Dock and add a second video card. Well, add these to the cost of a USB Blu-Ray drive, the total will exceed way beyond $400. I might as well get a PS3 for that price.

Could try AnyDVD HD which would eliminate the need for the dock and HDCP. I dunno if it will play back on the X3100. I suspect so, but don't have any first hand knowledge.

I heard someone has successfully played HD-DVD content on a laptop with integrated X3100 graphic card and an external HD-DVD drive. This is great news. It gives me hope that X3100 can handle blu-ray content too.
I noticed that R61 has Blu-ray drive as an option for $200. ( R61 has a 12mm ultrabay, not the 9mm ultrabay slim on T61.) Has anyone tried watching a Blu-ray movie on R61 with X3100 graphic card? Does it stutter on action intensive scenes?

There are now R61 models, such as the 8918-A26, that have a (12mm) Blu-ray burner installed! This appears to come with....
- Includes the following software package: - Ulead DVD Movie Factory recording, editing, and authoring software for capturing, editing, and creating your own videos and burning software for recording to CD, DVD, and Blu-ray supported media - WinDVD software for playback of high-definition Blu-ray and standard definition video files and movies
Cheers,

Hello,
As remember X3100 can play HD-DVD or Blue-Ray disks but as I know in T61 there's no HDMI or DVI port

Thank God, the DisplayPort is finally coming, as well as the X4500 GPU which has hardware acceleration for Blu-Ray. I can't wait to get my hands on a T400 or X200. See link below.
