Anyone know if we're likely to see an LED 1920x1200 panel in the T6x series anytime soon, or ever? Is this technology even being developed?

I hope so. I wish we could just get back our old displays. Seems like everyone has gone to W I D E as it is cheaper. The saturated colors and sharpness are gone now.

Sure,
but i don't think you'll ever be able to use it since it won't need an inverter in the first place to control the backlight. Since the inverter board is so small, and you'd still need to fit the same connector, there's no room for modifications to bypass the inverter.

I was asking if this is every likely to be an option offered - not if it is possible to retrofit LED screens into non-LED laptops (I'm not really interested in doing that).

Also, my original question is still unanswered - does anyone know if WUXGA LED screens are, in fact, being developed at all (in the 15.4" size)?
