I'm trying to change the BIOS splash screen on my T60.

I found the bootable cd iso here:

The (very confusing) instructions included on the CD read as follows:

Am I meant to add my LOGO.BMP to the ISO before burning the CD and then run LOGO.BAT from the prompt that comes up when I boot the CD? I don't think so because it won't be able to save the modified BMP in that case? Help! What do I do?

Also, does my LOGO.BMP have to be less than 10KB before I run the program or will the program further compress it? I've gotten the bitmap I want to use down to 14KB, but I don't think I can make it any smaller without going monochrome.

Ok. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was trying to convert an image that had less than 16 colors. I'm now fairly certain that what was meant by 10KB limit was the limit on the LOGO.MOD file that is created after running LOGO.BAT with LOGO.BMP in the directory. So I did this by copying the iso contents to a folder along with LOGO.BMP and then ran LOGO.BAT receiving for my trouble a nice shiny 3.36KB LOGO.MOD file.

Now I am going to take this file and add it to the CD image using UltraISO. Can someone confirm that this is the correct method before I brick my Thinkpad? If this isn't what I'm meant to do, I dunno wtf.

All is well.

The first time I tried it, it didn't work because I only added the LOGO.MOD file to the image. The second time, I added the entire contents of the extracted folder (after running the LOGO.BIN and producing LOGO.MOD and LOGO.LOG). I wasn't sure which other files were modified by running LOGO.BIN so I just copied the entire directory and that worked.

And I also saw, after formatting my search a different way, that this question had already been asked a few times, so sorry for cluttering your forums.
