White spot on my T60 screen....

Hello,

I have 1 year old T60 1953-DAU .
Sometimes after booting the laptop, I see very small white spot on screen.
The spot is not located at any specific area. Sometimes I see the spot at center or at right hand side at upper side.
I suspect that it's may be due to the loose connection of data cable...

Any clue? I havent opened the laptop.
I would be glad if some1 can guide me with this..Laptop is not in warranty and even If i go for extended warranty, they wont entertain it as its just a small spot ...

Any hints?

If the white spot moves about it can't be a dead or stuck pixel.

Also if there were an issue with the LCD video cable or the LCD itself, chances are much higher that an entire row or column of pixels would act up.

Thanx a lot. Trick mentioned in above thread worked for me.
That white spot vanished. I moved cursor over that white spot and pressed middle ultra nav button. It Worked!!!!
