T60 is coming out of sleep randomly

#1 Post by lithium726 » Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:32 am

So my T60 has been coming out of sleep mode recently without me telling it too. I'll pull it out of my backpack, after putting it in there in sleep mode, and it'll be hotter than hell, the battery light will be on and half my battery will be gone. Does anyone know what might be causing this? It's running Vista Ultimate.

Make sure that there isn't a program in your scheduled tasks (in Vista I have no idea what it's called or how to get to it) or some program running in the task bar that can wake it. If you can't find a solution there, hibernating instead of sleeping (which I would typically recommend for longer periods of time anyway) will work around your problem. Most OS' cannot reboot from hibernation on thier own.
