T61 screen resolution

#1 Post by sciontim » Thu Mar 06, 2008 6:09 pm

Hi all, I'm back after awhile and forgetting my old account info. Anyways, my company recently upgraded me to a T61 (Type 8867-OIU) and the screen resolution is way to low for my likes. It will only go to 1024x768. Does anyone know a hack that I can do that will allow for a higher screen resolution? Or maybe a different driver I can run on the "Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family" video card?

Thanks
Tim

The maximum displayable resolution of the LCD is dependent on the capabilities of the LCD so if the LCD itself only supports 1024x768 max, you're SOL.

You can swap the screen with one found on ebay, or tell them you need something with a higher res.

1024x768 is awful on 14" though, I'll agree. Hell, it's barely tolerable on a 12" panel...
