Dual Monitors On T60 Advanced Dock

Well, I don't know if this really has anything to do with the dock or not, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask.

I have a Samsung Syncmaster 940BW, and recently purchased another one that _should_ be identical. However, it seems that the one I just purchased, it's color is off.

The old monitor's whites are much whiter than the new one, and things just look a lot more crisp. Could it be a video setting somewhere?

I'm running Vista SP1 Beta.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

If you are running one off the dvi port and the other off the vga port, then (of course) the one on the dvi port will look better.

I actually swapped DVI for VGA and vice-versa and they both looked the same.

Hi,

Can you help me with your connectivity:

have bought a T61 with nvidia discrete graphic , and an advance minidock.

What I would like to do is to connect my TV through VGA and my external monitor through DVI, and Idealy extend my laptop screen to the external monitor and project the same thing that is on my laptop screen to my TV.

Can you guys help me to that

Thank you very much,

Troy

Funny coincidence, I as well own 2 Samsung Syncmaster 940BW monitors. They both are on DVI on my desktop machine and the colors do not match up as you described. I purchased them both at once at a B&M store.

I found out that there are many versions of the panel made, you can check via the model # tag on the back. I just adjusted the color levels until the difference was acceptable, I could never get them to exactly match.

Good luck

You can display any 2 out of 3 (DVI/VGA/panel) - but not all 3.
