I have never heard of a "
SXVGA" display on a ThinkPad (or on any other computer for that sake); where did you find this label?? Are you sure it is not just an ordinary SXGA+ (1400x1050)?? If you wish, check the
Wikipedia article on "Computer display standard", and you will be educated...
To see what parts is in the originalT60 of yours, go to Lenovo's
Parts Lookup page and enter the model (2623!) and serial number (printed on the label at the bottom) -and see the LCD part number. Alternatively, get the
ThinkPad T60 and T60p (14.1-inch and 15.0-inch)Hardware Maintenance Manual, February 2008 [which supports: ThinkPad T60 and T60p (14.1-inch and 15.0-inch) (MT 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2613, 2623, and 2637)]. You may also see
14.1" LCD service parts - ThinkPad T60, T60p (1951, 1952, 1953, 954, 1955, 1956, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2613, 2623, 2637).
NB: Beware that there are
three different suppliers/manufacturers of 14.1" T60 SXGA+ panels (Samsung w/FRU=13N7059 and BOE-Hydis w/FRU=13N7061 and TMD w/FRU=13N7063). Search this forum for people's opinions abouth WHICH of these three (fully interchangeable!) panels are the best/recommended.
All set now - good luck with the replacement!
PS: Did you check that you (your customer) is not entitled for a replacement under warranty? Find ouf about this via the
