T61 (6459CTO) CPU Temp problem and more....

Hi y'all,

I have a new T61 15.4" T9300 3GB 160GB 7200rpm Vista Premium laptop.

I installed everest (4.20.1170) to check the temps etc.
My CPU is idling at 60c and when the fan starts it goes down to 55c and back again. I looked at Everest and it looks like the Vcore is 1.25 and sometimes 1.338 which I think is out of the range for the T9300 (1.00-1.25).
CPU-Z shows the same 1.25-1.338

Can someone with the same spec T61 post their temps and what they use to check it so I can run the same prog.

Thanks in advance,
ZX.

thanks for the link but there is only one person that posted his temps and I am still 10 Deg. higher then him.

I am wondering if there is a way to lower the vcore and if I even should do it.

TIA.
ZX

hi ZX6Rman,

yes your temps are 10 degrees higher, i would check the power scheme in your Thinkpad Powermanager, or when you don´t use
it, check the schemes in windows.

also check your prozesses, perhaps some process keep your CPU
busy.

I do not think 10 degrees is worth the worry!

I don't have everest but running CPU-Z, I get a Vcore rating bouncing between 1.25 to 1.338V as well on my T61p 15.4" T9300 3GB 200GB 7200rpm.
