Is there a significant difference in battery usage lifetime over the various T61p models? How significant are the effects of (1) processor speed, (2) graphics chip, (3) LCD display size, (4) LCD display resolution.
And more specifically, if anyone has a T61p with a 14.1" SXGA+ what type of battery life do you get out of a 6-cell? A 9-cell??
Thanks!

If you are doing heavy graphical tasks, there is a definite difference in battery life between the different graphics cards.
The battery life estimates are available on Lenovo's website under each product categories' column in the datasheet pdf which also provides information about different configurations like 9-cell with ultrabay battery.
I have a 9-cell T61p and I get around 5-5.5 hours. The 6 cell I think people said they get around 3 hours something. Definitely try searching in this forum because I found a post that had that info a while back, don't remember the exact thread(s). The estimates that Lenovo provides are under very ideal conditions. A deviation of about 0.5-1 hr would be a good estimate, in my opinion.

I have a T61p 15.4" and it consumes ~20 watts when the display is at the highest brightness. It lasts for about 3:30 hours. GPU and screen size (CPU to a lesser extent) are the most important factors in battery life IMO.
edit: forgot to mention I have a 9-cell battery.

If you look at the specs you see that the various T61(p) models use from 65W to 90W.
For example:
The T61 NI09FNO use 65W and have a T8300 and an Intel X3100.
The T61 NH3DANO use 90W and have a T8300 and a Nvidia 140M.
Both have 15.4" screens.
