I got a 2nd hand T60p a few days ago with BOE-Hydis UXGA screen. Recently I noticed there was a small spot located near the bottom edge of the screen. I've no idea when it appeared, since I did not pay much attention to such area. Then I found 3-4 more dots like this one later, all of them located near the bottom of the screen.
Anyone can tell me is this a dead pixel or dust spec behind the screen?
Here is a pic of the small spot,it is inside the red circle

looks like a dust spec. the IPS displays are notorious for this. my former T42p and R50p both had the same problem but were much worse than yours.

There are total 5 of them on my screen. Will Lenovo change the LCD panel if I request to do so?

not sure. try calling IBM service at 800-426-7834 option 72 and see what they have to say about it.

Why can't they just open and clean it?

Thanks. I've sent him a PM to see if he could fix the problem for me.
But I think I would call Lenovo first to see what they can do for me since the laptop is still under warranty
