Lenovo Power Manager Battery Icon Question

#1 Post by rubbish84 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 2:26 pm

I have a question about Lenovo Power Manager.

On my taskbar I have the Lenovo Power Manager Icon indicating the battery's level of charge, wall plug info, etc.

When I'm running on battery power and I hit the 20% remaining point, a balloon always pops up asking if I would like to use battery stretch.

Is there any way of disabling this notification?

The only way I can see potentially is by unchecking the option of showing occasional information about the battery charge capacity. Is this the correct thing to disable?
If it is, what sorts of information would I be missing by not utilizing that option?

Might help whoever knows the answer to your question if you mentioned what model and OS you are using.

It is right in the power manager settings. Under global settings ... I'm not on my thinkpad right now ... but its easy to configure.

You can also set charging thresholds.
Past: T60 , XPS M1330, Inspiron 1420 & 1520, Presario V2010US
Present: T61 , Acer D150, T61 7663 (Parents)
Screen swapped between the 7661 and 7663

I just spent some more time looking for the option.

I have battery stretch disabled but it still keeps popping up with a message asking me if I want to enable it when I reach 20%. I can't seem to stop it from happening.

I don't really want to use the battery strectch feature unless I really need it at some point in time.

Any other suggestions?
