in IE, to to Tools, manage add-ons, enable or disable add-ons, and disable any relating to Lenovo ThinkVantage.

also, in IE go back to Tools, Phishing Filter, and turn off automatic checking of web sites.

Thanks, Hoya. I did this and it solved the problem with IE, but how do make sure firexox is not continually referencing the Thinkpad files?

Try FFox 3 Beta 4 - works better than any browser I've ever used

I had been holding off on the FF betas but you piqued my interest about trying FF3B4 and . . . all I can say is WOW! I love it, even though most of my extensions don't currently work with it.

It is going to be fantastic after the final release and all the extensions are updated to work with it, but I like this new version so much I'm willing to forgo some of my currently incompatible extensions.

Many great new features and it seems quite a bit faster than FF 2.x. Another cool thing is they have incorporated the function of the "No Squint" extension so that one is no longer needed. Also, the whole page scales beautifully when you zoom which I like (although you can disable that so that text only scales if you prefer). :thumbs-UP:

Thanks, I'll give it ago and hopfully that will fix the problem. I hear although it's a beta, it's very stable.

It is stable but one thing I've noticed about the latest beta is that flash doesn't appear to work with it yet.

I tried the new FF and that seemed to fix the problem. Much faster until tonight when it's running slower than IE. Still testing.
