Will it work. The only difference i see if a groove on each side of the battery.
Also can I use a 90watt power supply from the t61 with the z61t? and vice versa?

Z6xt batteries will only work with T61 14.1'' W.
As a former owner of Z-series thinkpad from 2005-06, I recall lenovo had already switched from IBM AC Adapters so the answer is yes you can interchange the adapter between the two machines.

yes it is a t61 14.1 but they changed the way the grooves are on the side so it won't fit. I'm guessing if you file them down, it should work since the dimensions are exactly the same

they don't fit

I got a T61 as well as my father has a Z61t, so although they look same size, the rails and fittings of the machines don't fit

I'm pretty sure that 4-cell and 7-cell batteries from Z6xt are interchangeable with T61 14.1'' W, there was a person confirming this fact sometime ago on this forum too whose post I can't seem to find now.
Although 6-cell from T61 14.1'' W will still not fit in Z6xt.

i'm pretty sure they are the same battery but different grooves.
I'm going to try to shave down the grooves so it will work in both but won't be loose.
I'll let you guys know
