Adding necessary lenovo stuff to fresh vista install

I had a problem with my t61p when I removed vista sp1 rc. It went into a loop as it tried to uninstall the 3rd item. No way of resolving the problem other than restoring from the hard disk to the factory installation. Therefore, I installed vista ultimate using a dvd, inputting the key, of course. I then installed the requisite driver for the video 570m.

All is well except for a couple of things: the Fn keys don't work and there is no wifi. Which lenovo drivers must I now install, and what other ones are recommended?

Thank you. -

Check out the Lenovo page Downloads and drivers - Use the drop down box's to select your machine type etc, it will then lead you on the most recent drivers and utility software for your ThinkPad or visit ThinkPad T61, T61p - Download the most common drivers and software

The Fn keys are displayed on screen via the Hotkey Features utility software.

I would use the ThinkVantage System Update 3.13 to get the latest lenovo drivers that are specific to your machine.

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... VSU-UPDATE

System Update™ helps you reduce the time, effort, and expense required to support and maintain the latest drivers, BIOS, and other applications for Think or Lenovo systems. It enables you to get the latest updates from the Lenovo support site, or to automatically schedule your system to be updated.

pretty cool utility.. I always use it when I install fresh copy of windows.. I get all windows updates, then I get the lenovo drivers/updates I want from System Update.
