Will the NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M 256MB on my T61p drive two 1920x1200 monitors (one on the laptop and one external)?

I keep thinking I have seen this question answered before in this forum, but I couldn't find the answer.

Thanks,

If you use a dock there is only one DVI port available, unless it's an advanced dock with a low profile video card with DVI output. If you don't use a dock there is no DVI output available. You were looking for dual digital output correct?

Yes, I'm looking for DVI for the external monitor and I can buy a dock or advanced dock if need be.

Great, so you'll need an advanced dock and a video card.

Try the built-in VGA port first to see if the quality is acceptable. After hooking it up, remember to hit the monitor's "auto adjust" button to optimize the quality of the image. Buy a dock only if necessary.

If I understand WilsonF correctly, he wants to use the notebook's internal screen and one external screen simultaneously, both at 1920*1200. Shouldn't the advanced mini dock be able to handle that?

Yes, if the internal LCD is a 15.4" TFT display with 1920x1200 (WUXGA) it is totally doable. Did I misunderstand the requirement? If one of the LCD's is the Thinkpads internal, you wouldn't even need an advanced dock. An 'essential port replicator' would work fine, and you certainly would not need a video card.
