Most of our T60's have had this issue at one time or another but it seems like since we moved to Office 2007 it's gotten worse (i know i know, a program shouldn't have anything to do with a mouse issue, but its been too many reports to be a coincidence)
We use primarily the Logitech MX310 usb optical mouse here at our office but it has happened with the MX500 too. This problem started occurring after we switched to the T60 with Advanced Mini Dock. When the mouse is plugged into the dock it will occaisionally freeze and not work until you unplug it and try another port, this happens with or without anything else plugged into the dock. The problem only seems to go away when you plug the mouse directly into the side of the laptop.
The funny thing is some users have reported it only after I installed Office 2007 on their laptop, one who just talked to me said his mouse has frozen 3 times in the last 30 minutes while working in Excel. So strange.
Is there any setting I can tweak that can fix this?? It's really annoying to explain it.
