Can't access bios after format (T61P 6459CTO)

#1 Post by Hakubi » Tue Apr 01, 2008 2:27 pm

Hello,

Recently got my laptop and nuked vista, reinstalled XP and all the thinkpad software off the offical Lenovo page, the problem is that when i boot up and it says "press the blue thinkvantage button to intterupt normal startup" it no longer takes me to a list of options, but instead boots into Rescue and Recovery 4, is there another key i have to press to access the bios?

Thanks <#

Just push the "F1" key when you get the logo screen. All the "Access IBM" key did on our T61 was give us a menu that said "Push F1 key for bios or continue booting to R&R. Yeah, same thing happened to us when we rolled back Vista business to XP Pro.

you have 2 choice:
1/press F1 when you start up your notebook
2/press the blue thinkvantage or access IBM button to enter the RNR enviorment, then you will see "access BIOS" on the left screen.
