Hi All,

My T61p (8891-CTO, 14.1" Symmetrical T60 14.1" LCD cover modded, T9500 C2D, 4GB, 320GB HDD) had a really bad white spot that got brighter and brighter as the screen stayed on longer (or it may have just been my mind playing tricks on me), causing me to get irratated to a point that I got it replaced.

In any event, when I got it replaced, they sent me a Samsung (FRU: 42X4582), while my previous panel was a BOE-Hydis (FRU: 42T0432).

I honestly think the Samsung panel is really nice when compared to the BOE-Hydis, whereas the picture quality seemed really washed out in comparison to the Samsung panel.

Can anyone confirm this? Is the BOE-Hydis panel truly that much better than the Samsung one?

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the matter...

Thank you!
T61p [8891-CTO]: Intel X9000 (2.8GHz) CPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, 14.1in 1400x1050 (4:3) Modified Symmetrical LCD cover & bezel, nVidia FX 570M, DVDRW, Intel 6300 WiFi, BT, FR, Windows 7, SLIC2.1, Unlocked SATA II middleton BIOS, WLAN Whitelist Modified. Mint Condition.
