2 Q's: Fn+bright doesn't always work, itunes hotkeys?

two questions:

1) sometimes fn+brightness controls simply don't work or show anything on the screen. Any idea why?

2) i know itunes sucks on windows vista (I prefer itunes on my mac and winamp on the T61) but is there a way to get hotkeys set up for it?

This has happened to me a few times in Vista. I closed and reopened the lid and the buttons and brightness OSD started working again. Maybe that'll work for you too.

I have my power options set to do nothing when I close the lid, so it just turns the display off.
