Able to use other WWAN mini PCI Express cards in T61?

Hi,

Just a question. I am not particularly interested in Verizon's or AT&T broadband service. I kinda like Sprint. I know that Dell offers the Dell Wireless 5720 Rev A CDMA card. Could I put this card in a T61 instead of the options offered by Lenovo? I am planning to buy a machine with the antennas pre-installed, just no card.

Thanks!

Please let us know if you are successful in achieving this.

In terms of the Dell card, you need to take a look at the long error 1802/1804 thread that is currently running, as that card will not be recognised at any level (let alone work) in a ThinkPad without some additional BIOS modifications.

Cheers,

Bill B.

I plan on buying the machine shortly, but now Lenovo allows you to have the machine pre-wired without any card, and it only adds $7 to the cost of the machine. When I brought my T60, I know I had to choose a certain type of card and the cost was usually alot and I think that ugly external antennae was there.
