For some reason, today Windows decided to take over my wifi. Is there a way I can give the control back to Access Connections?

Assuming Windows XP. go to the properties of the wireless card -> Advanced -> and in there (somewhere) is a box with a check mark saying "Let Windows manage my wireless". Uncheck it. ... JDH

It's Vista.

OK, for Vista, the principle is the same - find the properties and uncheck the box. ... JDH

Well, that's the problem, I have no idea where that box is in Vista.

Look in Control Panel -> Manage Wireless Networks. If there is a wireless connection there that you want managed by Access Connections, uncheck the connection boxes.
Warning:
1. Vista obfuscates all it can, so my answer may be wrong.
2. My wireless is not working (NIC, Vista, router - I don't know yet), so I uninstalled Access Connections. Again my answer may be wrong.
I cannot test what you are trying to do just now. ... JDH

I just installed Access Connections again. Go to the Control Panel location I described and remove any connections which are NOT Access Connections connectoids. That may help, but I do not know. I am in unfamiliar territory. .. JDH

This seems really stupid, but apparently all I had to do was open access connections and connect to my wifi doing that and it would automatically switch over.
