my computer says I only have a HD with a total size of 70 gigs.

-I used Acronis to clone my original hard drive, with a USB adapter.
(Here I chose the manual cloning and told it to copy exact (vs. proportional))
-Swapped out old drive and installed new drive into computer
-Changed BIOS to boot up from the new drive
-Went through Rescue & Recovery

My computer works now, but just doesn't have the extra 130 gigs...is there a way to fix this?

I have a T60.

you probbaly just dind't clone right. You should have told it to keep partitions but spread them out over the new larger drive. Eitherwa, you should be able to use that software or Computer Management which is part of Windows to enable the rest of the HDD (partition). With Acronis you should be able to merge the rest of the drive with the first half rather than having 2 partitions if you don't like that.

You chose manual. If you chose automatic Acronis would have expanded the partitions proportionately.

The easiest thing to do in my opinion is to clone again using automatic.

Yes, it's just a simple matter of cloning again but not using automatic, (unless your original hard drive is the same size as your new hard drive). If you do use automatic when cloning to a larger hard drive, you will end up with a service partition that is quite a bit larger than it needs to be because it will be proportionally expanded based on the size of your new hard drive.

What I think you should do is use try cloning again but use the manual mode (and I guess don't choose exact). Anyway, in one or both of the manual modes, keep an eye out for the program to give you an opportunity to resize the partitions before you give it the go ahead to start cloning and you should be able to allocate any and all of the unallocated space to your C: partition while keeping the service partition the same size as the original service partition. This requires a few back and forth steps before actually starting the cloning procedure but it is pretty easy.
