T60 battery & ac adapter

Hi.
My T60 (type 1952-CTO) has
- this battery: FRU 42T5246/ASM 92P1138
- this ac adapter: 92P1103 (90W 20V)

I've right now buy a R60E (type 0657-LGG) for home purpose, and i see that it comes with:
- this battery: FRU 92P1139/ASM 92P1140
- this ac adapter: 92P1158/FRU 92P1157 (60W 20V)

Batteries seem to be equal (same voltage and Amp).
Just because i use the T60 for working and R60E at home (so, always connected with ac adapter), i'm thinking to use the new R60E battery on my T60.

Is there any known (or unknown :-D) reason to not do that?

What is the difference between the 2 ac adapter?
It's due to the laptop consumption?

Or the 60w ac adapter is better because recharge battery slower (i know, it's stupid question...)?

Thanks!

You should not use the 60W adapter with the T60. The R60e has a shared graphic which uses less power and therefore has a less powerfull adapter.
I don't see a problem using the battery as it is approved for both TPs, according to this site

Hi and thanks for your reply.

My T60 has a shared graphic adapter : Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03).
My T60 has not ATI video card :-(.

Also in R60E the video card is a Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset (the same, i suppose).

AC adapter provided with R60E is really smaller than the one provided with T60.

So, my question about the ac adapter is still open :-D
Regards!

My T60 came with a 65 w, 20 v, 3.25 amp, p/n 92P1156, 100-240 vac, 50 60 hz adapter....it works fine- it is not usable on an
R51 because the pug that fits into the T60 is too large for the R51 nor is the R51 power adapter usable on the T60.

pictux,

If your T60 has shared graphics, you can probably use the 65W adapter.
There is however one way to be absolutely sure; look on the bottom of your T60, there should be a sticker with the power rating. If it says 20V 3.25A - 4.5A you can use the 65W adapter. If it only says 4.5A, you shouldn't.
